Wayfair is one of those stores where you can either find incredible value or waste a lot of money on things that look great in photos and arrive looking like a different product entirely.
I’ve done both. More of the second than I’d like to admit.
So consider this your shortcut. These are the types of Wayfair finds under $100 that consistently get the “wait, how much was that?” reaction from anyone who visits.
1. Geometric Metal Wall Art (~$40–75)
Metal wall art has had a serious glow-up in recent years. The geometric styles on Wayfair — sunbursts, abstract shapes, overlapping circles — add texture and dimension to a wall in a way that framed prints just don’t. They look sculptural, considered, and expensive. They’re not. Look for brass or black matte finishes for the most versatile options.
2. Woven Seagrass Baskets (Set of 3, ~$45–70)
Storage that looks like decor is the holy grail of small space living. Woven seagrass baskets do exactly this — they hold blankets, toys, magazines, or anything else you need off the floor, and they look intentionally styled doing it. A set of three in graduating sizes gives you flexibility for any room.
3. Accent Chair (~$75–100)
Yes, you can find a genuinely decent accent chair under $100 on Wayfair. Look for velvet or boucle fabric in a solid, jewel-toned color. A single well-placed accent chair can anchor a small living room and make it feel like a designed space rather than a furnished one.
4. Floating Wall Shelves Set (~$35–60)
Wayfair’s floating shelf sets consistently receive excellent reviews for looking clean, mounting easily, and holding real weight. The wood-finish ones in natural or dark walnut look particularly elevated. Style them with a plant, a candle, and one or two small objects — less is more.
5. Table Lamp with Linen Shade (~$40–70)
Lighting transforms a room more than almost anything else and yet it’s one of the most overlooked small space upgrades. A table lamp with a neutral linen shade adds warmth, dimension, and that “someone actually thought about this room” feeling that overhead lighting alone never achieves. Look for ceramic or textured bases for the most elevated look.
6. Full Length Mirror (~$55–90)
Already mentioned mirrors as a small space trick — Wayfair is one of the best places to find a full-length mirror that looks high-end without the high-end price. The arched style has been trending heavily and for good reason — it adds an architectural element to a room that feels custom and considered.
7. Indoor Planter Stand (~$35–65)
A plant stand elevates a basic houseplant into a design moment. The mid-century modern wooden styles with tapered legs are particularly versatile — they work in living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways. Add a trailing pothos or a fiddle leaf fig and suddenly your room has life, literally and visually.
The key with Wayfair is always to read the reviews carefully and look at customer photos rather than the product photos. Real-world photos tell you a lot more about what something actually looks like in a real space.
